Após a primeira reunião do grupo por Skype, fica acertado para que cada se associará à ABPMP International como “member at large” para que seja possível criar um capítulo no Brasil com no mínimo de cinco associados.

Chapter Bylaw


Introduction

This document contains the bylaws that are used to operate the Association of Business Process Management Professionals Brazil (hereinafter referred to as ABPMP Brazil).
Each executive member must use this information in conducting the business of ABPMP Brazil in their respective positions. It is intended to provide the background information new executive members need to serve as a board member and to highlight changes that have occurred to the bylaws during the existence of ABPMP Brazil.

Scope and Vision

Scope

The Association of Business Process Management Professionals is a non-profit, vendor-independent, professional organization dedicated to the advancement of business process management concepts and its practices. ABPMP is practitioner-oriented and practitioner-led.

Vision

The ABPMP is the premier organization for business process management professionals. The ABPMP is the most authoritative source for information on BPM. The ABPMP defines the discipline and practice of BPM. Membership in the ABPMP is acknowledged as a de facto requirement for all professionals in the discipline. The ABPMP recognizes, acknowledges and honors those who make outstanding contributions to the discipline.

Purpose and Operation

Purpose

ABPMP is a professional organization that engages in activities that:

  • Promote the practice of business process management,
  • Develop a Common Body of Knowledge in this field, and
  • Contribute to the advancement and skill development of professionals who work in this discipline.
Operation
  • The ABPMP produces educational and networking events for continuing education and sharing of best practices, new ideas, and experiences of its members and professional colleagues.
  • The ABPMP develops and manages relationships with product and service vendors to provide benefits of its members and professional colleagues.

Roles and Responsibility

1. Chapter President

  • Convene and preside at Executive Committee meetings
  • Attend Corporate Board meetings, as called by the President of ABPMP
  • Provide leadership and long term direction to the chapter
  • Attend conference calls as called by the VP-CS to discuss operations and share best practices with other chapters
  • Maintain a chapter strategic plan, present status quarterly to the VP-CS, and present goals to membership
  • Assign tasks and responsibilities to other Executive Committee members and committees – Represent ABPMP-C to external organizations
  • Serve as the primary contact with the ABPMP-C legal counsel
  • Vote at Executive Committee meetings only in case of a tie among the other eligible Members

  • Produce and distribute a quarterly newsletter for the ABPMP-C internal communications
  • Administer publicity and public relations programs for ABPMP-C – Coordinate and administer creation of promotional materials
  • Provide minutes of the ABPMP-C Executive Committee meetings
  • Promote a positive image of ABPMP-C
  • Promote and coordinate printing of business process management articles authored by ABPMP-C members in industry publications
  • Coordinate and administer a community of practice forum for ABPMP-C
  • Attend Executive Committee meetings – Vote at Executive Committee meetings
3. Chapter VP of Finance

  • Direct the preparation of the annual ABPMP-C budget, in consultation with Corporate VP of Finance
  • Track and report actual revenues and expenses compared to the annual budget (done monthly, in consultation with Corporate VP of Finance)
  • Assist members and ABPMP-C executive committee members with expense reimbursement processes (approve all expense forms and liaise with Corporate VP of Finance)
  • Attend Executive Committee meetings
  • Vote at Executive Committee meetings
  • Sign and adhere to the ABPMP Code of Ethics

  • Vote at Executive Committee meetings
